Foster Youth Services/McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act

Countywide Foster Youth Services Program Grant

The Marin County Office of Education has received grant funding to provide services to Marin County Foster Youth over the last decade.  We anticipate receiving $50,000 a year for each of the next three years.  Services include support for tutoring, mentoring, counseling and transition for foster youth.
 

McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act

The Marin County Office of Education has received McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act grants for many years.  This year we anticipate receiving approximately $50,000.  The focus this year will be to evaluate Marin County student needs, provide direct services to students and to collect information essential to extending services to families and schools.  Services include support for transportation, school supplies, tutoring, mentoring, counseling and transition for homeless children and youth.
