Special Education  provides programs and services designed to meet the individual needs of the students as required by Federal Law.  The scope of services includes operating programs at 55 school sites within 19 districts for approximately 1,291 students, birth through 22 years of age.  The instructional programs range from the provision of preschool through post secondary programs.   The Marin County Office of Education operates special day classes along with designated instruction and services to address speech and language delay, visual impairments/blindness, deaf and hard of hearing, among others
