    Early Education and the Arts - October 7, 2017

    College of Marin ECE professor Peggy Dodge will be joined by a team of teachers to present a day of ideas and hands on opportunities to build skills and confidence in visual and performing arts curriculum for young children.  Participants will learn about the California Preschool Learning Foundations for visual art, drama and dance.  Curriculum ideas in each area will be shared by experienced teachers and participants will see how the arts can be used by young children to represent their experience in a school program.

    DRDP 2015 Meaningful Observation Module 2 - October 14, 2017

    Participants will learn: the purpose of observation; organizing an observation system; reviewing and reflecting on documentation; rating the DRDP 2015.

    Making Connections with CLASS - October 19, 26 and November 2, 2017

    In this three week series, participants will explore each CLASS domain in more depth with practical application.  Prerequisite - completion of Intro to PreK CLASS or PreK-CLASS Overview.

    Trainer of Trainers Equity - October 3, 2017

    This Equity Learning Walk and Cultural Proficiency Plan Development workshop will focus on Culturally Responsive Practice through:

    • Critical Race Theorry and Practive
    • Using Data to Inform Practice
    • Equity Learning Walks
    • Culturally Proficient Action Plan

    Trainer of Trainers Data-Informed Instruction - October 24, 2017

    The Data-Informed Instruction Trainer of Trainers will focus on:

    • Developing an understanding of the components of the Data Use Framework
    • Building instructional systems that support sustainability and increase student outcomes
    • Development of a PreK-5 (8) Equity Data Plan
