Courageous Conversations - Classrooms That Work - March 9, 2018
Classrooms That Work: Defining Roles & Responsibilities for Implementing Culturally Relevant Teaching System Wide - for educators interested in engaging in deeper conversation about the role of racial equity in the school setting. Prerequisite: Beyond Diversity 1.
Pure Edge Brain Break - March 12 or March 19, 2018
We have a really great opportunity for educators – Brain Breaks from Pure Edge. As we enter the season of assessment we need to take the opportunity to learn new ways to combat stress for our students and ourselves.
We have scheduled two sessions – March 12 from 1:00 to 4:00pm or March 19 from 8:30 to 11:30am (select one) for educators to be taught these strategies to help combat stress and develop social, emotional and academic learning competencies. These highly interactive sessions will allow educators to understand more about the importance of using these strategies with their students – exploring and practicing techniques and adapting for all ages. Attached is the flyer with more details. We encourage you to send you educators to this valuable opportunity.
Future sessions are being planned including two half day sessions in the spring focused on breathing techniques for site support staff; a half day session in August; and four sessions in the fall using a train the trainer model.
Sexual Harassment Prevention - March 13, 2018

History-Social Science Curriculum Toolkit Workshop - March 13, 2018
Teachers, instructional coaches, curriculum directors, Administrators - join the Marin County Office of Education in a Toolkit Training Workshop. Be trained in the new adoption toolkit to review current instructional materials used as well as new proposed materials. Review CA State Board of Education approved instructional materials for K-8 and K-12 curriculum and supplemental resources from publishers.
