Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE)

The Safe Schools Substance Prevention Program, funded by, Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) strives to reduce youth tobacco, e-cigarette, vape, drug, and alcohol use by helping students make informed decisions through tobacco and substance abuse prevention instruction and activities.
In support of the wellness of all members of our community, the Marin County Office of Education provides the following technical assistance and support to Marin schools and districts:
- Youth Development Activities Training and Support
- Peer Education Prevention Activities Training and Support
- Intervention Resources, Training, and Support
- Collection of Cal Safe Schools Climate Data, Strategies, and Support
- Tobacco-free schools certification
- Evaluation of Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drug Prevention and Intervention program activities
- Collaboration with community partners in the prevention and intervention of the use of substances
- Alternative to Suspension Process Training and Support
