With a new CDE grant to training transitional kindergarten teachers statewide, the Early Childhood Education Department of the Marin County Office of Education in partnership with the California Preschool Instructional Network, is offering 10 evening workshops focused on developmentally appropriate tools and strategies to design TK curriculum.  Each module is specific to transitional kindergarten based on the CA Preschool Learning Foundations and Curriculum Frameworks (a.k.a. standards).

If a TK teacher applies for the California Transitional Kindergarten stipend Program (CTKS) by September 30, 2016, he/she will be eligible to receive a $100 stipend for each workshop attended.  The CTKS program will also reimburse for approved materials and resources.
