MARIN P3 EARLY SCHOOL SUCCESS
A partnership between MCOE and Marin Community Foundation began in 2010 to improve child outcomes and close achievement and opportunity gaps. The belief is that with intentional focus on adult behaviors/skills and the system itself, meaningful outcomes will be realized for students.
We are guided by the updated National P3 Framework and California Master Plan for Early Learning and Care as the basis for designing goals and strategies, with an emphasis on bold, sustainable approaches. Schools are involved in Marin P3 Early School Success with a strong focus on:
- Engaging families
- Equitable practices
- High-quality teaching
- Data-driven decision-making
- School culture and climate
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
The 2021-2022 school year was an opportunity to leverage all that we know about the importance of early years that is grounded in decades of research and practice in the P3 framework. As we move forward in this reimagined P3 work, relationships will be refined, within and across P3 school environments. Educators' efficacy will be strengthened and students' resilience recognized by supporting their healing and emotional growth, and honoring students with meaningful and challenging academic work.
High quality professional learning activities and expert coaching are grounded in current brain development research, child development and place an emphasis on anti-bias education and reflective practice.
With the support and generosity of Marin Community Foundation, we are committed to meeting the needs of our early learners.
