CAR APPRECIATION AND PRESERVATION PROGRAM (CAPP)

  • Course Title: Car Appreciation and Preservation Program (CAPP) 

    Location: Terra Linda High School, Auto Shop - 320 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael, CA 94903 (see map here)

    Dates: Thursdays + two Saturdays (dates TBD), September 30 - December 2

    Times: 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursdays, 9:00-1:00 on Saturdays

    Information Night: Tuesday, September 21 - 6:00 p.m., Terra Linda HS Auto Shop

    Age Group: High school students, recommended age 16 or older. 

    Cost: Free

    Description: Students obtain basic automotive repair skills such as engine mechanics, cooling systems, brakes, body repair, painting, and upholstery. They explore how the automobile has impacted American culture and society. They learn about the classic car industry, including car shows, exhibitions, and rally and race driving. They will be able to identify career paths related to the appreciation and preservation of automobiles.
