  • Surviving an Active Killer Incident - November 26, 2018

    This two hour session will instruct participants how to prepare for an active shooter or active killer emergency, and also increase participants understanding about what to expect before, during, and after the event. This training will provide the tools needed to:

    • Run, hide, fight
    • Breathing Techniques
    • OODA Loop explained
    • The 21-foot rule
    • Concealment vs. Cover
    • Improvised weapons

     

    Brief Intervention for Substance Using Adolescents Training - December 7, 2018

    Two to four sessions aimed at adolescents who use alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs.  Target audience is School Administrators, Educators, Counselors, School Nurses, community-based organization staff, and others who work with adolescents.

     

    Protocol for Responding to Hate Speech/Crimes

    The School Law Enforcement Partnership (SLEP) prepared the Protocol for Combatting Hate Crimes and Bias in Marin County in 2001. This SLEP will explore updating the document in the coming months.

     

    Lockdown Protocols

    In the event of initiating a lockdown for any reason, best practices are to immediately notify law enforcement by dialing 911. Lockdown Actions are identified on Page III-10 of the Marin Schools Model Emergency Management Plan.
