  • Marin Leadership Institute Recruitment 2019

As you may be aware the Marin County Office of Education, in collaboration with San Francisco State University, has been hosting the Marin Leadership Institute (MLI) and Administrative Credential program for quite some time now.  Our interest in hosting the program is to support our teacher leaders and certificated staff to gain additional professional growth and obtain the administrative credential, which leads to more high quality, local administrators.

The Marin Leadership Institute is a collaboration between San Francisco State University and Marin County Office of Education to bring continuous learning opportunities to local cohorts of teacher leaders interested in pursuing the administrative credential and Masters in Education Leadership. The program provides a condensed model of coursework, practicum and team learning offered through SFSU and Marin COE. Courses are offered at the COE for convenience; a cohort model means students stay together for the same sequence of courses and have opportunities to share, support and learn together.

We are currently recruiting for the 18-month, four semester program beginning Summer or Fall 2019. Prior to the application due date through SFSU we would like to determine interest from our teachers in Marin County.

Training leaders of the future is a critical mission as education in the 21st century rapidly changes and adjusts to global needs. Our children need dedicated educators to provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities. Please reply to vpitts@me.com or vpitts@sfsu.edu by Dec. 14 if you are interested in participating/enrolling in the program or if you have any other questions regarding the administrative credential or MA program through MLI/SFSU.

Please pass the opportunity along to all in your Districts who would benefit.
