  • CA NGSS K-12 Cohort Series - March 5, 2019

    Designed for elementary, middle, and high school teachers and instructional coaches.  Participants will work in grade levels using the Science Framework Instructional Segments, and bundle blueprints to deepen science lessons and units.

    Universal Design for Learning Cohort Series - March 7, 2019

    Designed for K-12 Educators and Special Education Administrators.  Learn to backwards map lessons to meet the unique needs of each student, eliminating barriers and creating voice and choice in the classroom.  Strategies support all lessons including: PBL, math, science, GLAD, SEAL, Reader's & Writer's Workshop, and Social Studies.

    Luna Dance Series March 11 and May 6, 2019

    School and College Legal Services - School Attendance Review Board with Carl Corbin - March 12, 2019

    Designed for school site/district staff, law enforcement, probation, community mental health and youth advocates who have responsibilities as members of School Attendance Review Boards.

    History-Social Science Series - March 19 and April 23, 2019

    There are two more workshops scheduled for this 2018-19 series: March 19th and April 23rd.  Designed for K-12 Social Studies Teachers, Instructional Coaches and Administrators, this free series presents an exciting opportunity to participate in the shifts from the History-Social Science Framework, which include:

    Teaching the Whole Child, K-6 - March 28, 2019

    This professional learning experience focuses on the critical role of social-emotional learning (SEL) in our core literacy instruction.  Participants will explore and discuss culturally responsive teaching practices that intentionally develop SEL and academic skills. This seminar is designed to support K-6 teachers, administrators, and literacy leaders who are working to ensure that all students thrive academically and socially.

    Leadership for Racial Equity (LEADS) - April 2, 2019

    District Administrative teams focus on deepening the will, skill, knowledge, and capacity of administrators to lead, oversee, and manage the dynamic process of system-wide racial equity transformation. Cohort teams of central office and site based leaders, Superintendents, Directors, Principals, and Instructional Coaches are encouraged attend.
