LCAP

  • Districts should be looking at and analyzing their actions and services in the Annual Update for 2018-19 of their plans. 2019-20 in the third and final year of a three-year static plan. Districts are able to see across a three-year period of time whether their actions and services have had an impact. Districts have the opportunity to work with MCOE Technical Assistance teams to ensure they are adhering to the LCAP requirements as well as to understand the nuances of making changes to actions/services. The MCOE LCAP Technical Assistance team will be meeting with districts through the beginning of May.

    • Changes to the template specific to the LCAP Budget Summary, Budget Overview for Parents and the importance of using language that is clear, easy to understand and avoids jargon. Specific trainings to this end are in the process of being developed.
    • Districts identified as receiving Comprehensive Support and Improvement based upon Dashboard results should be prepared to identify their plan to use the funds to address the prompts in the LCAP. Districts not receiving CSI funds should simply indicate that they are not receiving funds/support in their LCAP – this page should not be excluded
    • LEAs are required to complete and submit the Addendum for the 2019-2020 school year.  Districts may have completed the Addendum in the 18-19 school year.  They are advised to review their Addendum for accuracy and relevancy in the use of their title funds and will need to address the Title IV portion as this was not an option in last year’s plan.
