For Year One Teachers, together in your weekly meetings with your Mentor, remember to:
- Log your weekly meetings, by phone or video conferencing, with your Mentor for support in the Interaction Log.
- Reflect on your observation of a colleague. If you have not observed another teacher related to one of your goals, you can go online and read/watch a clip and then share your learning with your Mentor during your weekly meeting. (Resources Chart) Your Mentor can capture your learning on a Collaborative Assessment Log(CAL). (sample)
- Complete an Observation Cycle. If you have not had a chance to do this, have a conversation about something you want to try related to distance learning.(Resources Chart)Discuss your distance learning planning with your Mentor. Your Mentor will capture this learning on a CAL. (sample)
- Complete a final reflection of your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) goals including, strengths, areas for growth and next steps by completing the Co-Assessment Summary on the Learning Zone (sample). Use the Slidedeck Link to guide this reflective conversation.
- The Spring Workshop will be done as a weekly meeting with you and your Mentor using the Slidedeck Link. There will be optional Office Hours available if you’d like to check in with Christina. Zoom Link: https://zoom.us/j/507817835
- Complete the End-of-Year Survey between May 1 and May 15, 2020 by 5pm; this will be sent in an email to the Candidate, Mentor, Site Administrator, and Leadership Team.
- If you pay a Program Fee, due May 15, an email will be sent to you with the link.
