Public Works Career Day - National Public Works Week 2021

    To celebrate National Public Works Week 2021, the Marin County Department of Public Works, in partnership with the Marin County Office of Education, will hold a virtual Public Works Career Showcase on Friday, May 21, from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

    Attendees will learn about different career paths within the Department of Public Works, as well as summer employment and internship opportunities. While providing an overview of various occupations within the Public Works Department, presenters will conduct demonstrations of operations and job duties to show what a typical day looks like for these positions.

    High school students are encouraged to attend but all ages are welcome.

    Program:
    • Introduction to the Department of Public Works: Rosemarie Gaglione, Director
    • Road Maintenance: Kip Brooks, Roads Superintendent & Division Manager
    • Radio / Communications: Andrew LeBlanc, Division Manager; Todd Williams, Supervisor of Telecommunications.
    • Fleet / Garage: Sean Cinelli, Fleet Supervisor
    • Q&A + Closing: Internships and employment opportunities available this summer.
