2020-21 Audit Reports and Audit Findings
Audit Reports for the prior fiscal year, including corrective action plan(s) for each finding, are due to be filed with COE, the California Department of Education and the State Controller by January 31, 2022.
The district board will review the annual audit, any audit findings or recommendations and any corrective action plans at a public meeting by February 28, 2022. We will complete our review of audit findings and issue requests for any additional information required to resolve findings by April 15, 2022.
W-2 Distributions
The Marin County Office of Education processed and produced 4,870 W-2 forms for 2021 (compared to 4,781 for 2020 and 5,684 for 2019). Forms were available for Districts to pick up on January 22, 2022.
Marin County Office of Education Property Tax Estimates
The County of Marin has released the first run of 2022-23 Property Tax Estimates. This information has been shared with our District Business Officials and is summarized in this trend schedule showing the last five (5) years for all districts. Budget Work Sessions
We are continuing the budget workshops that began as a pilot in January 2020 and have proven, especially during the pandemic, to be a valuable professional learning and network opportunity for business officials and their staff. Weekly workshops focused on the second interim budget preparation have begun again and will continue through February 2022.

A-G Completion Improvement Grant Program
The A-G Completion Improvement Grant Program has been established for the purpose of providing additional supports to Local Educational Agencies (LEA) to help increase the number of California high school pupils, particularly unduplicated pupils, who graduate from high school with A–G eligibility.

Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Plan
There is an upcoming virtual ELOP information and Q&A session on February 15, from 2 pm - 3 pm. Akilah Byrd, the Region 4 lead from the Alameda Office of Education, will be in attendance to support answering questions. A calendar invite and Zoom information will be shared soon.
