Marin County Office of Education Property Tax Estimates

Marin Schools Insurance Authority Rates for 2022-23
The Marin Schools Insurance Authority (MSIA) has established rates for the 2022-23 for our workers' compensation, property, liability, dental and vision programs. These new rates were provided to members of the MSIA Board of Directors and all member district business officials. Click here to view a summary by district.
Annual Property Tax Forum ~ May 12, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The 7th Annual Property Tax Forum was held on May 12, 2022 with featured presentations by Dr. Jon Haveman, Marin Economic Consulting, Shelly Scott, County of Marin Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk and Mina Martinovich, Interim Director, County of Marin Department of Finance.

Parcel Tax Administration Training ~ May 26, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The annual parcel tax administration training for district staff was held by the County of Marin on May 26, 2022 . This information was circulated to the District Business Officials and Superintendent's Secretaries; for a summary, see attached PDF for details.
2020-21 Audit Findings
Audit Reports for the prior fiscal year, including corrective action plan(s) for each finding have been emailed to district business officials. Audit Finding resolutions are due to be filed with COE by June 15, 2022.
2022-23 Budget Work Session
We are continuing the budget workshops that began as a pilot in January 2020 and have proven to be a valuable professional learning and network opportunity for business officials and their staff. Weekly workshops focused on 2022-23 Budget Adoption and LCAP will continue through mid June 2022 as needed.

Professional Learning Opportunities
Paraeducator Bootcamp - This series is designed to provide training to those interested in working as a Paraeducator in a special education setting, working with amazing students, as part of a highly effective team. Training will cover paraeducator roles and responsibilities, supporting student success, and fostering independence through communication. The three-day series is on June, 14, 15, and 16 from 8:30 -11:30 am at the Marin County Office of Education. Elevation to Transformation (E2T) with Dr. Lori Watson. Participants will engage in an experience that will develop a foundation and provide tools for talking about race both interracially and intra-racially.
