Marin County Office of Education - Education Services supports all of the school districts in Marin County: approximately 3,300 school administrators, certificated staff, classified staff, and more than 30,000 students. The department provides professional development opportunities, assistance in program evaluation, advice on state and federal initiatives, support for grant funding applications, and offers leadership in the use of resources including instructional materials and technology.
The department accomplishes its goals through a large number of programs, services, and activities including the Marin County Induction Program (formerly BTSA), academic competitions, and school recognition programs. The department also facilitates a variety of collaborative groups such as the Innovative Learning Team-Marin, the Instructional Coaches Community, and the Private/Independent/Parochial Schools group.
