ROP Intro to Education Careers

A semester-long course that takes place at Terra Linda High School and is open to high school students countywide. Upon successful completion of the class, students will earn 5.0 high school elective credits.

About the Teacher:
David Tow has a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from San Diego State University, master's degrees in Education from National University and English from UCI. He has been a classroom teacher for over 15 years, having taught English across all grades and skill levels, social science, journalism, creative writing, yearbook, ELD, AVID, and environmental leadership. Recently, David completed his second Fulbright grant where he served as a Fulbright Roving Scholar in American Studies to Norway, conducting workshops with teachers and students across the country. He currently teaching AVID and AP English Language and Composition at Terra Linda High School, while also completing his doctoral degree in International and Multicultural Education with an emphasis on Human Rights Education at the University of San Francisco. His favorite thing about teaching is the chance to build learning communities where students feel empowered as experts and collaborators. He is eager to share his experience as an educator and teach students about a variety of careers in education.
