Past Scholarships
The Voice of Democracy Program is offering Scholarship for current High School students (grades 9 - 12), whether enrolled in public, private, parochial or homeschool, to receive a scholarship award of up to $35,000.00. The applicants must be either U.S. citizens, lawful U.S. permanent residents (Green Card holders) or those who have applied for permanent residence. Requirements are as follows: 3-5 minute recording of an audio essay (in English) on a flash drive or other electronic device, a typed essay and a completed Application. For hearing/speech-impaired students, please send an email to the Voice of Democracy National Office: youthscholarships@vfw.org for special instructions. The AIAA Lockheed Martin Marillyn Hewson Scholarship is offering a Scholarship opportunity to a female Senior High School student that is planning to pursue an engineering major at a college or university.The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, must demonstrate financial need, and show an interest in a career in the aerospace defense sector to receive a scholarship award of up to $10,000. Requirements are as follows: current transcript, 500-1000 word essay, Letter of Recommendation along with a completed Application. The complete Application package will be due on December 31st, 2023.
The American Graphic Institute Design Thinking Scholarship is a great opportunity for students enrolled in degree programs at any accredited college or university in the United States to receive up to $1000. The required documents are: an essay of 500 – 1500 words, proof of legal residency in the United States along with a completed Application. The complete Application package will be due on December 31st, 2023.
The Redwoods Residents Association Scholarship Program is a great opportunity for current High School Seniors with financial needs and show academic and leadership skills to receive a scholarship award of up to $3500. The required documents are: one-page autobiography, 2 Letters of Recommendation, a copy of the current transcript along with a completed Application (please click here for PDF version of the Application). The complete Application package will be due on March 10th, 2023.
National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Scholarship is a great opportunity for current High School Seniors that are planning to pursue an academic degree within criminal justice or within the law enforcement profession to receive a scholarship award of up to $1000. The required documents are: 650 to 750-word essay, 2 Letters of Recommendation, a copy of the current transcript, current photograph along with a completed Application. Rotary Club of Ignacio 2023 Scholarship is a great opportunity for current High School Seniors that are planning to attend a university, community college, or a trade school in California; and Study in the Trades or STEM Fields. Please email completed Applications to Barbara@Properlyinsured.com for a chance to receive up to $1500.00. The complete Application package will be due on April 9th, 2023.
Marin Builders Association 2023 Scholarship is a great opportunity for graduating High School Seniors that are planning to attend a university or a trade school. The required documents are: a copy of a transcript, 2 Letters of Recommendation (can be sent directly to: paula@marinbuilders.com), trade school or college/university admission letter, personal statement along with a completed Application. Selected students will be scheduled for a personal interview that will take place on May 24th, 2023. Please see the complete list of requirements here. The PG&E Corporation Foundation is offering Better Together STEM scholarships for current High School Seniors, GED recipients, veterans and adults returning to school. The applicants must be PG&E customers and must plan to enroll as full-time undergraduate students in an eligible STEM field (such as Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems, Cyber Security, Environmental Sciences, etc.) at any four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year.
