UPK Mixed Delivery Grant
The UPK (Universal PreKindergarten) Mixed Delivery grant funds the Marin County Child Care Commission (LPC) to support the mixed delivery system of universal prekindergarten. The grant focus is to support the relationship building between the local education agencies (LEAs), county office of education (COE), the LPC, and the R&R (Marin Child Care Council). A workgroup is currently being formed and dates will be posted on the Marin County Child Care Commission home page.
Marin County Early Learning Road Map
The Early Learning Road Map outlines Marin's vision for the future of early care and education in Marin county and identifies the strategies that we will undertake over the next few years in collaboration and in community with early learning partners throughout the county.
The creation of this Road Map would not have been possible without the generous funding provided by Marin Community Foundation and their work alongside the County of Marin, the Marin County Office of Education, First 5 Marin, Marin Child Care Council, and the Marin County Child Care Commission. The work of this Task Force and the stakeholder feedback sessions was facilitated by Viva Social Impact Partners.
The Marin County Early Learning Roadmap was presented to the Marin County Board of Supervisors and the Marin County Board of Education on April 16, 2024. More information can be found at the Board of Supervisors webpage here.
The Task Force welcomes and needs your support to make this Roadmap come to fruition. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact the Marin County Child Care Commission Coordinator, Kelsey Lombardi at LPCCoordinator@marinschools.org.
