Marin County Schools Farm to Cafeteria Feasibility Project
With support from Marin County Parks' Measure A Food, Agriculture, and Resilient Ecosystems (FARE) Grant Program, MCOE partnered with Conscious Kitchen to assess Marin County school food systems and identify practical opportunities to improve meal quality, participation, local and organic procurement, operational sustainability, and cross-district collaboration.
Project Reach
15 school districts participated in the project, including 14 of Marin's 17 public school districts and one private school district.
27,035 students are represented by the findings (i.e. 89% of Marin public school enrollment).
