AB 2534, Flora. Certificated employees: disclosures: egregious misconduct

Effective January 1, 2025, in accordance with California Education Code Section 44939.5 (amended by AB 2534), all applicants for certificated positions are legally required to provide a complete and accurate record of all prior employment with Local Education Agencies (LEAs), school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, state special schools, and other educational institutions, regardless of length of service.

SB-848 Pupil safety: school employee misconduct: child abuse prevention

Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with California Education Code Section 32100 (amended by SB 848), all applicants for classified positions are legally required to provide a complete and accurate record of all prior employment with Local Education Agencies (LEAs), school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, state special schools, and other educational institutions, regardless of length of service.
