Regional Occupational Program (ROP) - Report
ROP classes were offered this summer in the following areas:
Career Pathway Academy
115 students from all Marin public high schools participated in a career exploration and preparation class in addition to their summer internship. Students received academic credit for their summer class and, in a pilot program, a group of students were able to receive college credit through the College of Marin for their participation in a class that was partnership between COM and the ROP. Medical Assisting
18 students participated in clinical internships at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Rafael to complete their requirement in the Medical Assisting class. After a year of study and the completion of their internship, the students will receive Medical Assistant certification at their graduation on August 7, 2015.
Multi-Media/Engineering Design
23 students participated in multi-media, engineering and design classes at the Marin ROP media center in downtown San Rafael.
