PBIS Coaches Training
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is holding a PBIS Coaches Training on November 2, 2015. The goal of this four part Training is to build local capacity within districts to provide continuing coaching support and district leadership to support schools.
20th Annual Peer Summit
The 20th Annual Peer Summit will be held on November 10, 2015 at the Marin Center Showcase Theater, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Peer Summits are inspiration peer-to-peer leadership summits designed by Youth and adults working together to create fun, integrative and educational workshops on topics including nutrition, relationships, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and teen legal rights. That evening, MCOE is hosting a parent workshop focused on engagement strategies featuring Adam Fletcher.
Navigating the Teen Years
Parents of Middle School and 9th Grade Students are invited to attend Navigating the Teen Years at the Marin County Office of Education on November 12, 2015. Topics covered will be substances, sexting, peer and media influences facing children in their vulnerable teen years.
Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE)
The Marin County Office of Education anticipates the release of the Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) Cohort L Tier 2 RFA shortly. The MCOE plans to submit a consortium application by Dec. 18th to bring resources locally that will support tobacco use prevention and cessation activities for students in grades 6-12 countywide.
Bullying and Harrassment
The Marin County Office of Education has been working to ensure that students feel safe on campus and free from bullying and harrassment.
