Safe Schools
RxSafe Marin
RxSafe marin will hold a workshop on December 9, 2016 to share information on the work of the past year and to develop solutions for the year ahead. Guest speaker David Mineta, CEO for Momentum for Mental Health, former Deputy Director of Demand Reduction for the Office of National Drug Control Policy will be the guest speaker. This workshop is eligible for community service hours and food will be provided.
PluckyWize Teacher Training
PluckyWize Teacher Training workshops will be held on January 19, February 2, and February 16, 2017 from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. at the Marin County Office of Education. Using PluckyWize® materials, lesson plans, techniques, & strategies — developed by specialist, Robin O'Heeron, Ph.D. — learn how to help your students hike the trails of PluckyWize as they make their way to Mastery Mountain.
Trauma-Informed Systems
Trauma-Informed Systems workshop will be held at the Marin County Office of Education on March 13, 2017. This workshop will help us better understand, respond to, and heal the impact of trauma in our schools.
Immigrant Students and Families: Legal Context and Resources
In collaboratin with the Canal Alliance and 10,000 Degrees, a workshop will be held at Marin County Office of Education on December 8, 2015, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Discussion of the legal overview of immagration laws will be presented included potential changes to DACA, common issues/concerns for students and families and know your rights information.
