Facilities and Transportation
Utilities
The Marin Municipal Water District approved a rate increase effective January 1, 2016. The impact is a 4% increase by May 1, 2016.
Transportation
The Marin County Office of Education has been working in partnership with Marin Transit and the Transportation Authority of Marin on a Coordinated Countywide School Transportation Study. The study is being conducted under the leadership of Robert Betts, the Planning Manager at Marin Transit, and has included the use of a consulting group, School Bus Consultants. The objective is to create countywide access to school programs utilizing a high "green trip" rate which would reduce traffic congestion around school sites, improve access to schools, and increase/improve student health and safety.
