ERATE Informational meeting, January 20th, 2016
Fred Brakeman will attend the District Business Officials (DBO) meeting on January 20, 2016 at 10:45 a.m. to provide an update on Erate. On December 21, 2015, USAC filed a Submission for the Record with the Federal Communications Commission estimating that $1.9 billion from prior Funding Years is available for carry-forward to FY2016. Combined with the minimum annual funding cap of $3.9B, the program could see the highest amount of funding in any single year in history.
Parcel Tax Information
All other local government agencies such as counties, cities, and special districts, are required to report information relating to locally assessed parcel tax as per Government Code section 12463.2 (chapter 781, statues of 2014). Parcel taxes are reported on the State Controller's Office (SCO) annual Financial Transactions Report (FTR).
School districts are not required to submit this report. However, because all other local agencies provide this information, districts may consider making this information available to the community on the MCOE website with links to individual district websites.
W-2 Distribution
Marin County Office of Education processed and produced 5,695 W-2 forms for distribution to all public school employees in Marin County.
