Career Technical Education
Northern California Career Pathway Alliance
The Marin County Career Pathways Program has made significant strides in year two of the three year grant program, most notably in the growing collaboration and partnerships between our high schools and the College of Marin, increasing articulation agreements, and in the development of UC A-G approved integrated curriculum coming out of the recent University of California Curriculum Integration (UCCI) Institute at MCOE. Below you will find reports and approved courses.
It should be noted that the approved Chemistry and Biotechnology Course was developed by a collaborative team of teachers from three of our high school districts including the Pathway Coach and Biotechnology teacher (Michelle LaFevre-Bernt) and a Science teacher (Tim Blok) from San Marin High School, an Integrated Science teacher (Ginnie Chu) from Tamalpais High School, and our Pathway Coach and teacher (Jesse Madsen) from the Marin School of Environmental Leadership at Terra Linda High School. Great collaboration! Two additional integrated courses are on track for UC A-G approval.
