Career Technical Education
SunPower Solar Energy Academy
SunPower Corporation in partnership with Northern California Career Pathway Alliance and College of Marin is providing a 6-day solar energy summer experience for select incoming juniors and seniors. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2016.
The Get Focused…Stay Focused!™
(GFSF) high school program is offering a Pilot Program designed to seed and support implementation of GFSF by defraying start-up costs related to professional development, materials and curriculum in 2016, providing technical assistance on college credit and A-G, and facilitating peer-to-peer communities of practice. This pilot program is a collaborative effort of the North & East Bay Pathways Consortium (SB1070) and the Northern California Career Pathways Alliance. By participating in this pilot program, professional development, technical assistance, and materials/curriculum would be provided to your institution through an SB1070 contract with the vendor. Students in the GFSF program complete a semester or year-long freshman, comprehensive guidance course that helps them identify their interests and life goals, discover a career aligned to those interests and goals, and develop an educational pathway to prepare for that career. To participate in this pilot program, applications are due by April 22, 2016.
