Career Technical Education - Career Pathway Grant Update and Professional Development Opportunities

The final details of the implementation of the Northern California Career Pathway Alliance (NCCPA) Grant are moving quickly to completion.  The Marin County Office of Education has signed the memorandum of understanding  with our lead agency, the Sonoma County Office of Education, and local memorandums of understanding are now being considered by Marin districts.  There are a number of important Professional Development opportunities that will be extremely helpful to bring our schools and districts up to date on progress and efforts in the region and to help get us up and running in Marin County.

You are invited to send key staff who either have been identified as Pathway Coaches or as prospective Pathway Coaches to these trainings. There are a total of 6 Modules to the Career Pathway Coaches training.  The first two modules were held in September.  The next modules are scheduled for:

  • October 27-28, 2014 (Modules 3 and 4)
  • November 17-18, 2014 OR December 3-4, 2014 (Modules 5 and 6)

All travel and accommodations, as well as substitute costs for these trainings are covered by the grant. The region is asking that all Pathway Coaches from participating schools and districts commit time to the Pathway Coach Training.  Click here for an overview of the NCCPA Coach Training Modules that provides additional information.
