LCFF, LCAP - LCAP Trainings

The MCOE LCAP Review Team is in the process of developing a series of trainings designed to support districts in the development of your LCAP Update for 2015-16.  The LCAP Review Team is utilizing feedback from the series of LCAP Technical Review meetings being held on a district by district basis.  The kick off to the trainings will feature the new LCAP Template, and will begin on December 10th, from 11:30 to 1:30 and will include lunch.  Topic specific trainings will begin in January (date details TBD) and will include:

  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • How can districts conduct next generation stakeholder engagement in the second year of LCAP implementation   
  • Goals, Metrics and State Priorities

    • How can districts better align goals with metrics and the state's priorities
  • Actions and Services

    • How to best identify and develop actions and services for all students and subgroups
    • How to align, identify and describe district resources to actions and services
    • How to identify and develop effective methods for using supplemental and concentration grants
  • Budget Alignment practices

    • Best practices for aligning district budgets with LCAPs

  •  Tips and techniques for aligning the LCAP with other plans

LCAP PLCs in 2015:  In addition to the above trainings, districts will be invited to participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLC), beginning in February. These PLCs are designed to provide opportunities to bring working drafts for input and to learn and share best practices with other districts.
