Information Services - ERATE Increase
Good news for schools!
Congratulations, on December 11 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved a $1.5 billion increase for the E-Rate program that helps schools pay for broadband connectivity and network infrastructure. Your advocacy directly contributed to this historic action.
The E-Rate update below is from CDE and provides additional details regarding the approved changes to the program. On January 16, 2015 the Marin County Office of Education will host a training focusing on the new forms and recent changes to the program to assist your district in applying for E-rate funds for the 2015-16 funding year. You can register for the training at the K12 High Speed Network E-rate/CTA Trainings and Sign up Website.
