Alternative Education – February - Countywide Plan for Expelled Youth

Countywide plans for provision of education services to expelled students is due to the California Department of Education no later than June 30, 2015. 

Attached is a timeline for submission, as well as information regarding new required elements of the Countywide plan.  Please forward me the contact information for your district representative.  District representatives will be contacted the week of February 9 and invited to participate in a meeting in March to review and revise the Countywide plan.  Once the plan has been revised and updated, it will be forwarded to districts for board approval by early May.  Districts are then requested to forward district board approval to Raquel Rose at rrose@marinschools.org by June 12, 2015.  If you have any questions regarding the process, please contact Raquel at 499-5891.
