Marin Sanitary is seeking to work more closely with school districts in their jurisdiction to decrease waste, increase recycling, and save money. They will be providing data to Schools and Districts they serve and give high level report cards on waste stream and recycling efforts at our schools. Based on input from Marin Sanitary staff, data is projected to demonstrate significant cost savings that can be realized.  In addition to the important work of engaging students, staff and the community in behaviors that support a healthy and sustainable environment. Incentives around cost savings and how those savings are allocated provide opportunities for creativity and fun – all in the name of doing the right thing for our students, the community and the world!
