Awards - Gold Ribbon Schools Award Program

The Gold Ribbon Schools Award Program was developed by the California Department of Education as a way to continue to honor schools during the accountability transition.  This year, middle and high schools were eligible to self-nominate for the award.  Statewide, more than 450 schools applied for the honor.

We have been notified that five of our county applicants are eligible to move on to the next phase of the process- validation visits.  We will be scheduling visits with selected schools to take place between March 10 and April 10.  We are in need of 16-20 participants in these visits to support colleagues in the final phase of the application process.  The visits will require a full day of participation.
