Legal Update - SB 854 - New Labor Compliance Procedures

Marin County Office of Education will host a presentation on SB 854, Labor Compliance for Public Works Projects for District Business Officials and Facilities and Maintenance Directors at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.  Phil Henderson, an attorney specializing in construction, public works projects and labor compliance will provide updated information on the law, its requirements and implementation strategies. SB854 significantly changes the procedures governing the enforcement of prevailing wage requirements for all public works projects in California, including school districts.  The meeting is scheduled to directly follow the DBO meeting.
